In the beginning there was

the fire

... and Eduard Mathai's passion for hair. As a master hairdresser he began to create his first hair color charts as early as 1945, still using human hair and on a hand-made basis. But a vision drove him on. He developed better colors, better charts, eventually synthetic fibers and new coloring techniques. And the cosmetic industry was enthusiastic. Continuously new, sometimes patented products allowed Mathai first to go well beyond German borders, then beyond European borders, and finally to become a global supplier of hair color charts for the international cosmetic industry. A lot has changed since our beginning, but one thing has always stayed the same: Our fire and our passion for our products.
